Administrative Assistants Board of Superintendents Departmental Ministries Adjutancy Corp

The role of the administrative assistant is that of a servant. He is a member of the executive cabinet of the jurisdictional bishop. He is hand picked by the bishop to serve at his pleasure while he is in office. Therefore, the primary role of the administrative assistant is to assist or support the bishop in the discharge of his duties as that assistant is assigned. He is neither the junior bishop nor the assistant bishop. He is only as assistant to the bishop for the purpose of effective administration.

The Board of Superintendent consists of all the appointed superintendents of districts within the jurisdiction. The chairman of the Board of Superintendents shall provide leadership on behalf of the Jurisdictional Bishop. The District Superintendents is appointed by the  jurisdictional Bishop to supervise or give direction to the pastors of local churches under his assignment. Persons in this position serve at the pleasure of the jurisdictional Bishop.

The purpose of the Jurisdictional Adjutancy Corp of the Church of God in Christ is to serve and assist the Office of the Jurisdictional Bishop as he fulfills the arduous duties of “chief servant” of the Jurisdiction.  The mammoth task of ceremonially serving the Jurisdictional constituents, who attend our conventions, is impossible for one man to accomplish.  However, with the assistance of the Jurisdictional Adjutancy, our leader can serve the entire constituency in service of worship, communion, funerals, installations, and dedicatory activities to name a few. The adjutancy also is a ministry of protocol. The Jurisdictional Adjutancy is not a department of the Church but serves under the Office of the Jurisdictional Bishop.
